The meeting was attended by the Secretary of Tourism of Baja California, Miguel Aguiñiga Rodríguez, with the purpose of undertaking the necessary work for the coastal corridor of San Felipe to obtain the declaration as a Sustainable Tourism Development Zone.

This is intended to strengthen the Sea of Cortez region and develop tourism in a polygon in the south of the state of Baja California, comprising some 163,000 hectares, generating opportunities and well-being for its inhabitants.
